I'm also accredited by EMDR Europe.

What is the cost?

Initial Consultation £65. Therapy sessions after consultation £95.

How long does it take?

Sessions are typically weekly and last up to 55 minutes, helping to build and maintain therapeutic momentum for steady progress. The overall duration of therapy varies based on your unique needs, the nature of the challenges you're facing, and your engagement in the process. Everyone's journey is different, and that's perfectly okay—some people feel equipped to move forward after just a few sessions, while others benefit from a longer exploration to achieve deeper, more sustainable changes. For example, you might wrap up after 2 sessions for targeted insights, around 12 for moderate issues, or up to 25 or more for complex concerns. We'll regularly review your progress together to ensure it feels right for you.

Where are sessions held?

All sessions are conducted online via Zoom, offering a convenient and effective way to connect from wherever you are. The pandemic highlighted a clear preference among clients for remote therapy, allowing you to engage from the comfort and familiarity of your own home. Research and experience show that therapy outcomes are just as strong online as in-person—in fact, I believe CBT can be even more impactful remotely, as it fosters a relaxed environment where you feel truly at ease to open up and focus. To make the most of our time together, you'll need reliable internet access and a quiet, private space for uninterrupted conversations.

What can I expect in the first session (consultation)?

Your initial session is a welcoming opportunity to share what's on your mind in a safe, non-judgmental space. We'll start by exploring your concerns through thoughtful questions, working together to build a clear, shared understanding of the challenges you're facing—this often brings immediate clarity and a sense of relief. In the rare case that your needs fall outside my expertise (such as active psychosis or immediate safety concerns), I'll guide you toward the most appropriate support services with compassion and care. Otherwise, we'll outline a personalised plan, discussing what therapy could involve and how it aligns with your goals. Many clients leave this first conversation feeling empowered and optimistic, with fresh insights and a hopeful path forward. It's a low-pressure step toward positive change—let's take it together.

What approach will we use?

The best approach always depends on your unique situation and goals—we'll collaborate to tailor therapy that's right for you. I adhere to guidelines from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for common mental health concerns, such as depression, generalised anxiety disorder, OCD, PTSD, health anxiety, social phobia, and panic disorder, which often recommend Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) for proven results. For challenges like reducing difficult behaviours in those with communication differences, I might incorporate Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) or guide families in systemic strategies to create supportive home environments with proactive and responsive adjustments. If you're on the autistic spectrum, we could focus on assertiveness training and psychoeducation to build practical skills and self-understanding. For emotional distress linked to long-term physical conditions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can help redefine your relationship with those challenges, promoting resilience and forward movement. Individuals struggling with high self-criticism often find relief through Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), fostering kindness toward yourself. And for personality-related concerns or complex trauma, we'll draw from a blend of methods, anchored in a person-centred formulation that honours your story and strengths. No matter the path, our work is flexible, evidence-based, and centred on empowering you toward meaningful change.
